The Cat and her Girl

Whenever I do family portraits, I like to take the expected family shots but then, in the spaces between, take photographs that capture something true about the people I'm photographing.

This photograph was one of those. The cat wandered by, the child picked her up and we ran off about 8 shots before the family was ready for the more formal shots again.
